Bathrooms I'm Loving

Something I don't talk about much on social media is my love for interior design. We currently live in a two bedroom apartment, and besides having a baby in August (!!!) the next big step for our family will definitely be purchasing a home. We don't have any solid plans to do this yet, but I have officially started the brainstorming process! I thoroughly enjoy focusing on all the details from colors & textures & layout, to little details like how I'd like my shower nook to look and what color of grout I prefer in subway tile. I thought it might be fun to start a series here on the blog where I share my thought process and ideas! Today I'm talking about bathrooms, because I have recently found several that I completely adore on Pinterest. 

The tile going across the side of the tube really caught my eye on this one. I also like the tile border on the floor, I never thought to mix square a hexagonal tile but I love it!

I like the way the bright white subway tile balances out the black & white checkered floor. And that claw footed tub + pedestal sink look so elegant!

How sweet would it be to have a sauna attached to your shower? A with a window! So relaxing!

I love the slight industrial look of this bathroom, and the black grout with white subway tile has me smitten!

Obsessed with the gold hardware, and look at that marble detail on the shower border! Love that mix of textures, yet monochrome color palette!

The thing I love about creating posts like this is I am really able to sit back and realize the themes that I love. Clearly I am inspired by black & white tile, big windows, natural light, mixing textures,  natural wood accents, and gold hardware!

My Bridal Shower

Hi guys! Since my wedding is now over, I figured before I got those pictures back I should share these ones from my bridal shower! My shower was in the beginning of August, and my Mom was kind enough to host it at her house, along with the help of my Matron of Honor!

I am just in love with the color scheme. I originally wanted my wedding colors to be light pink and gold, but that changed as time went on, so I was delighted to be able to enjoy these colors for my shower! Literally everything you see was a DIY project by my MOH Heather!

This game was guessing the number of corks, and whoever got it right won a bottle of wine!

The food was so good! My Mom was sweet enough to plan an all vegan menu for me, and she chose to go with a Mediterranean theme. She made a tabouli salad and a cucumber salad, and we also had falafel, pita bread and hummus! I'm getting hungry just looking at these pictures!

My Mom also ordered vegan cupcakes!!!

This banner was up in my apartment for awhile after this party!

Heather made me a giant "S" where everyone signed their names, and gave out nail polish in our wedding colors as favors! 

Here she had everyone put on lipstick and kiss the paper, so I now have a framed picture of all my loved ones' kisses!

I still feel so lucky to have people who love me enough to throw such a wonderful party! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Perfume Display Inspiration

Last week I posted my Perfume Wishlist which got me thinking about perfumer display ideas. Because honestly, half the fun of buying a perfume is having the beautiful bottle and seeing it every day on your vanity! Or is that just me? 

One simple and elegant way to display perfume is with a simple tray on a pedestal. This keeps your bottles all in one place, and the raised tray helps make them a focal point in the room!

Another classy way to display multiple bottles would be with a small shelving unit. You could set it on your vanity table like in the picture, or your could hang the shelves on your wall for extra storage!

If you want a really elegant display, you could go for a three-tiered tray system. You can also add decorative elements like this lovely gold statue if you have extra room!

There is something so feminine about perfume bottles, what better way to accentuate that than with an ornate vintage tray? That vase and mirror add lovely antique elements as well.

If you (like me currently) only have one or two perfumes to display, consider styling them in a tray with other visually pleasing elements, like a small vase of faux flowers, a candle, and possibly your everyday jewelry and lipgloss!

Don't forget about those samples... If they aren't in sight, you probably won't ever reach for them!

These lovely crystal trays look like they are stacked on each other to create an elegant vanity display! Don't forget you can also repurpose trays that are designed for kitchen use!
