Weekend Favorites

Hi friends! In today's post I am  sharing  a few things I have fallen in love with lately! My favorite places to browse the internet  (when I'm not shopping for makeup) are Etsy, Pinterest, and my favorite blogs. Where do you spend your time browsing?

How lovely are these Half Moon Brass Earrings? I love the simple design paired with the natural texture and slight imperfections.

I adore these Vintage Cactus Salt & Pepper Shakers! My salt shaker recently broke so I am in need of a new set. Plus I love anything cute and vintage!
These Brass Pineapple Bookends are so beautiful! I  dream of a wall-to-wall bookcase full of books and beautiful bookends like these! #dreamhouse

I already made Lila a shirt that says "Big Sister" but how cute would she look in this Big Sister Shirt?? It looks nice a light for the spring & summer too!

How precious are these Superhero Rag Dolls? If I got these for Lila, I would have to keep them on their own special shelf when she wasn't playing with them, they are literally handmade works of art!

My goal this month is to try these DIY Maternity Jeans!!!

Another simple DIY I want to try, this DIY Easy Choker T-Shirt could give pizzazz to an old boring  t-shirt, or in my case maternity shirts!

I am absolutely obsessed with the Busbee Style Style Reboot Series. Erin Busbee is a fashion blogger and YouTuber who has amazing style advice for all ages, but particularly adult women. She just started this weekly series and I have already learned so much!!! Her videos include: Challenges, Style Journey, Styling Basics, Dressing Your Age, Tricks to Make You Look Skinnier, and Identifying Your Style. I think I'm going to write a post in the future about identifying my own personal style!

I'd love to hear what you guys have been loving this week! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and I'd like to leave you with this quote:

ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadows

ColourPop released new pressed powder shadows in January, and another round in February, for a grand total of 50 individual pans! These pans retail for $5 each, and ColourPop has a deal going on currently where you get a free 4-pan palette when you purchase 4 eyeshadows! I prefer to keep mine in a Z-Palette, so I can see them all at once!
Here are the swatches! Every time I swatch these beautiful shadows I fall in love with them all over again. I think ColourPop did a really great job with the formula of both the matte and shimmer shadows.  They have amazing pigmentation, and they blend into each other just beautifully!
Here are the 4-pan palettes you can buy on the ColourPop website, however each of these shades are available as singles as well, you can see the swatches above!
In the lo-key palette, the shades are:  Take it Slow, I Owe You, Running Late, Criss Cross.
In the hi-maintenance palette the shades are: Just in Time, High Strung, Get Out, Cute Alert.

I absolutely love these shadows and I highly recommend them!

Bachelorette Party Photos!

Hi friends! So this as a VERY late post, my bachelorette party was about 7 months ago, ha! But do you know what this means...? Yes! I am getting ready to post my wedding photos soon! I found this post draft and I really wanted to share these pictures on my blog, even though they are a bit old. Looking at these pictures just reminds me how much fun I had with all my friends and family at my bachelorette party, and how special everyone made me feel! It was a super fun night of good food, fancy cocktails, and dancing the night away!!!

DevaCurl Buildup Buster: Micellar Water Cleansing Serum

Hi friends! Today I wanted to give an update on the DevaCurl Buildup Buster, a Micellar Water Cleansing Serum for hair. This product is the only haircare product on the market with micellar technology. What is micellar technology, you ask? Micellar cells act as magnets for dirt and buildup that you might get from your environment, product buildup, etc. The micellar technology makes this product a kind of "clarifier" for hair. However if you have curly hair and you have ever used a clarifying shampoo you know they can tend to be harsh and drying, causing unwanted frizz and even breakage. This is where Buildup Buster stands out! Rather than a traditional clarifying shampoo, Buildup Buster has more of a serum-like consistency, and contains jojoba and absynnian seed oil  to keep the hair and scalp well hydrated.

I am personally very impressed with the Buildup Buster, and I definitely see it becoming part of my regular haircare routine.  Not only did it leave my hair smelling and feeling wonderful, it also drastically reduced the flaking on my scalp. I forsee this bottle lasting me a long time, since I only need to use it every 2-3 weeks to deep clean my hair. Check out this video below for a quick description of my personal experiences with this product!

This product was sent to me free for review through Influenster, a website that anyone can join to earn free products to review! This product retails for $28, contains 8 fl oz and can be purchased at, Sephora and Ulta stores.

Dermablend Professional Loose Setting Powder

Hi friends! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Dermablend Professional Loose Setting Powder. This product was sent to me for free, and I was lucky enough to collaborate with Dermablaend on a sponsored Instagram Post! This product is described as "a loose powder that can be applied over a foundation or concealer to set makeup and reinforce wearability for up to 16 hours of consistent color wear that is smudge and transfer resistant."
I received the shade "original," and this product is also available in the shades "cool beige" and "warm saffron." The retail price is $27 and contains 1 ounce of product. You can purchase Dermablend products on as well as Sephora and Ulta. They also sent me this kabuki brush, which I am unable to find online.
As you can see, the product comes with a sifter which is convenient for getting a decent amount of product on your brush (it also came with a powder puff) or applicator, without having to deal with a huge mess of powder or too much product. If you aren't getting enough powder, you can simply shake the jar upside down gently to bring more powder through the sifter.

I thoroughly enjoy using this product, my favorite feature is that it truly smoothes out my skin, especially the fine lines around my eyes. As I'm in my thirties, I definitely appreciate any help I can get with those pesky lines! My skin has been dry lately, I'm not sure if it's the weather, my pregnancy, or that it's just getting drier with age, but I find that I am no longer able to "bake" my under eye area the same way that I used to, because after a couple hours it ends up looking too dry. This happens with any powder I use. So I find the most effective way for me to use this powder is to lightly dust it on my face immediately after I apply concealer and foundation, and then to brush it off with the kabuki brush. It really makes my skin look flawless and so smooth!
This powder also has a slight reflect to it, that you can see more in the jar than on the face, but it does add an element of glow to the skin, which I appreciate in a powder since it helps to avoid the "flat matte" look! Overall I really enjoy using this product, I think it is a good value for the money and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a finely-milled translucent setting powder!
This blog post is not sponsored, although as I mentioned this product was sent to me for free and I did do a sponsored Instagram post with Dermablend. In this post I simply wanted to give you guys an honest update on my thoughts after using this product for a bit longer!
