Artist Appreciation Intro + Moorea Seal

The purpose of this blog is to write about and share things that I am passionate about. One thing that I am extremely passionate about is the handmade industry. I am attracted to it because it is better for our economy, more emotionally fulfilling, and the general quality of handmade objects are just better, not to mention unique.

I want to help build a community that supports independent artists and craftspeople. This is one reason I am such a huge fan of Etsy. Not only does it give artists and craftspeople an outlet to operate their own businesses, but it gives people who wish to purchase handmade items and support this community a reliable website where they know they can always find something beautiful and unique.

I have created this feature, Artist Appreciation, to show my respects to some wonderful Etsy artisans. I will be featuring a different shop each time, and the shops will always have stellar photography, craftsmanship, presentation, description, and soul.
I hope that with this feature I can introduce readers to some new artists and small businesses as well!
For my first Artist Appreciation post, I am featuring one of my all time favorite women; Moorea Seal. Moorea is a jewelry designer, small business owner, blogger, artist, graphic designer, and online curator among many other things! She is incredibly talented, intelligent and inspiring with an admirable creative streak.
Today I am featuring her Etsy shop: MooreaSeal
(all of the following images can be found at this link^^)

I own a few pieces by MooraSeal, including the Chevron Dangle Earrings, the Quartz Droplet Earrings, the Golden Stardust Ring (unfortunately no longer available) and the Amethyst Heart Ring. I love every piece I own and I can't wait to collect more. They are true forever pieces that are unique and beautiful. On my wishlist would be the Celestial Earrings, the Waterfall Earrings and the Pyrite Droplets. I can't have too many earrings!

Be sure to check out her blog and her newly launched website with all handmade items.
